Deputy Lanning graduates from ILEA Aug 29 Written By Please join us in congratulating Deputy Kevin Lanning on his graduation from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy ! Deputy Lanning is a proud DeKalb County native who began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2023 as a Confinement Officer. He later served as a Sergeant in Courthouse Security before earning his position as a Patrol Deputy. He recently completed the 16-week training course at the Academy in Plainfield, Indiana - an intensive program where deputies live on campus during the week and return home on weekends. We are proud of Deputy Lanning’s dedication and commitment to serving our community, and we look forward to his continued service with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
