K9 Program

The K-9 program is maintained by the donations from the citizens and businesses of DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office believes it is important for the community to understand what your donation will fund.

Funds raised are used to train the K9 and K9 handler, purchase training equipment, purchase K9 vehicle equipment, veterinary expenses, dog food and kennel construction materials.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office greatly appreciates your support of the K9 program and sincerely thank you for your help in protecting our county and keeping citizens safe.

Shop With A Cop

Shop with a Cop is an outreach program designed to assist children who are at risk due to their current economic situation, their environment and other factors.

Each year the local schools choose 5th grade students from each elementary school to participate in the program. The Sheriff's Office teams up with the local Auburn Shifter's Car Club and takes the children shopping each December.

Indiana Sheriff's Association

Formed in 1930, the Indiana Sheriffs' Association is a nonprofit educational and service organization comprised of the 92 county sheriffs, their deputies and other law-abiding citizens throughout the state.

The association was formed for the purpose of providing assistance to sheriffs, their deputies and other department personnel, thereby enabling them to improve the delivery of law enforcement services to the citizens of this state.
