Youth Education Programs
School Resource Officer Program
Our School Resource Officers serve as mentors, educators, and law enforcement professionals in DeKalb County schools. They teach safety lessons, counsel students, and work to create positive school environments. SROs build relationships that help students see law enforcement as approachable and trustworthy.
Kindergarten Address Challenge
This popular program teaches kindergarten students to memorize their home addresses and phone numbers through fun, interactive activities. Deputies visit schools county-wide, making safety education engaging and memorable for our youngest community members.
Youth Leadership Programs
We offer various youth leadership initiatives, including ride-alongs, career exploration programs, and mentorship opportunities. These programs help young people explore careers in law enforcement and develop leadership skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
Crime Prevention & Safety Education
Neighborhood Watch
We support and coordinate Neighborhood Watch programs throughout DeKalb County. Deputies work with residents to establish watch groups, provide crime prevention training, and facilitate communication between neighborhoods and law enforcement.
Business Security Surveys
Our crime prevention specialists conduct free security assessments for local businesses, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements. We help businesses implement effective security measures to protect employees, customers, and assets.
Personal Safety Presentations
Deputies provide educational presentations on topics including home security, identity theft prevention, internet safety, and personal safety strategies. These free presentations are available to community groups, businesses, and organizations throughout the county.
Senior Safety Program
Specialized programming addresses the unique safety concerns of senior citizens, including scam prevention, financial exploitation awareness, and home safety. We partner with senior centers and retirement communities to deliver targeted safety education.

- •A certified technician can ensure your child's car seat is properly installed and appropriate for their age and size
Services Available
