Division Mission
The Special Operations Division serves as the tactical response unit for the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. Our highly trained team responds to high-risk situations requiring specialized tactics, equipment, and expertise beyond routine law enforcement capabilities.
Working in coordination with regional partners and state agencies, our operators maintain constant readiness to respond to critical incidents including hostage situations, barricaded subjects, high-risk warrant service, and other tactical operations.

Training Standards:
