The tip submission process is for non-emergency information only and is not monitored 24/7. For immediate assistance, always call 911.

Anonymous Tip Reporting

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office values the assistance of community members in preventing and solving crimes. You can submit anonymous tips about criminal activity, suspicious behavior, or other public safety concerns. Your identity will remain confidential.

Crime Stoppers is a community program that allows you to report information about criminal activity anonymously. You may be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property.

Potential Rewards

Crime Stoppers may offer cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to:

  • Arrest and conviction of criminals

Remember: You do not have to give your name or testify in court. Crime Stoppers will assign you a code number to protect your identity.

What Information to Include

The more detailed and specific your tip, the more helpful it will be to investigators. Try to include as much of the following information as possible:

What happened?

Describe the criminal activity or suspicious behavior

When did it occur?

Date and time of the incident

Where did it happen?

Specific location or address

Who was involved?

Names, descriptions, or identifying information

Vehicle information?

Make, model, color, license plate number

Physical descriptions?

Height, weight, clothing, distinctive features

Any evidence?

Photos, videos, documents, or other evidence

Additional details?

Any other relevant information
